I saw this today on Pinterest and I must say that it reminded me of something that happened to me today. Well, my family and I went out for pizza and my mom lifted a, rather large, slice for my brother. Just as I went to hold the bottom of it, a huge glob of boiling hot sauce and cheese fell on my right index finger. Oh Lord, the pain!!!!!!! I can usually stand a good amount of pain, but I honestly couldn't bear it. It was the most painful thing I have ever felt, and the only thing that could somewhat mask the it was running my finger under a water faucet.... of course, I couldn't stay in the bathroom forever, so my mom brought me some ice, we walked to the car and I tried to bear it out. I just wanted to go home, put some ointment on it, and go to bed until tomorrow morning, but my dad decided to cheer me up by taking a looooonnnnngggg drive through Miami Beach...... well my finger felt fine as long as it was covered with ice, but soon enough, what do you know? THE ICE MELTED! Ha! So there I was, at least an hour away from home and my finger started throbbing again....just then, I remembered something I had read a long time ago "God won't give you a bigger load than you can handle" or something like that, but you get the point. I know this quote applies to life circumstances but in my head, at that moment, my finger was a life or death situation haha :P so I started repeating that quote over and over and over and over and over in my head.... and, I promise, I felt the pain slowly decrease until it was finally gone! ^ that quote is a variation of the quote I repeated in my head, and, chances are, you don't have a burned finger, but maybe you're going through a difficult time in your life... Whatever it may be, always remember that if you're going through it, it's because God knows that you can handle it. Just trust Him :)
Until next time,
Adriana
